How to find articles and literature<\/h3>\n<\/header>\n

Google Scholar<\/strong> uses the Google search engine to enable searches for scholarly materials such as peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, preprints, abstracts and technical reports from broad areas of research. It includes a variety of academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories and universities, as well as scholarly articles available across the web. Google Scholar includes some full text and citations. Some links to full text ask for payment.<\/p>\n

If you follow the open networked learning course, you can search for information through Google Scholar<\/a> but you will not have access to subscription journals\/articles. However, you can click on the article title and you will be transferred to the article\u00b4s homepage and there you can buy a copy of the article.<\/p>\n

For participants of the credit bearing distance course at Karlstad University.<\/h3>\n

Karlstad University Library<\/strong> has a large number of databases covering various academic subject areas. A good starting point for searching information in the field of service innovation is the subject guide \u2013 Business administration. You find the subject guide on the library homepage www.kau.se\/library<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As a participant of the credit bearing distance course you have access off campus to the databases and journals by logging in with your KauID \u2013 your student account.<\/p>\n

Through Google Scholar<\/strong>, Karlstad University Library provides article-level links to subscription full text for patrons affiliated with Karlstad University. To get access to the journals and the articles in full text you need to be a participant of the credit bearing distance course at KAU and you have to set up your preferences in Google Scholar.
\nTo set up the preferences for the Karlstad University Library, please follow these steps:
\n1. Go to Google Scholar at http:\/\/scholar.google.com\/<\/a>
\n2. Clink on the Settings link at the top of the page
\n3. In the Library Links section, type Karlstads universitetsbibliotek in the search box
\n4. Click Find Library
\n5. Put a check mark in the boxes that read: Karlstads universitetsbibliotek \u2013 KAU_Link
\n6. Click Save to save the settings
\nKAU_Link will now appear next to the articles in your hit list. When you click on this link you will be asked to login with your KauID and then be able to access the full text of an article immediately, if the library has a subscription to it.
