The web consists of such a huge array of diverse phenomena, which makes it too complex for such a dichotomy. For instance, while my children are much better at using Snapchat&nbsp;and pokemon go than I am, I am far better at LinkedIn and ResearchGate (although not as good as I probably should be :)). The resident-visitor continuum seems better but may also suffer from over-simplification.
