Is there a case for a global identification system?
How would this work?
Could this system also be made to allow an individual to manage their digital footprint to choose what information is shared and with whom?

If this happened, would this go against what digital data consumer companies such as Google, FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat, Tumblr, Google Plus (well not next year as it may close!), etc. Although these companies offer you a free account, they do use the information you acquire through their use for their purposes and owe you nothing. That is there is no such thing as a free ride.

If this global identification system (let’s call it GlobalID) could behave as all of you social media accounts, email address and telephone number that would be quite useful. One could search for a person and choose how to communicate with them using one address. Since we are questioning and searching for our origin, that is a good place to begin so we will identify someone by their place and time of birth: Continent (1-8), Country (use existing city codesCity, Year, Month, Day, Time, Gender.
